Hi Peeps
The subject I want to talk about on this page is democracy.

My idea of democracy is so different than that which is in common use today, (or the idea of it anyway).

Democracy, Capitalism.

The two go hand in hand really don't they? Most of the time, it's difficult to see where one stops and the other starts, so entwined have they become.

Democracy Food for Thought
Obviously it has it's origins in Greek philosohpy, use by either Plato or Aristotle (I can't remember which one exactly). And it is supposed to be the most widely used form of government in use at present. But is it?

At present we here in England (or should that be the UK) have a "democratic"? government. But do we? Is the right to vote, "once every four years" really democratic? Isn't democracy (or it's implied meaning) supposed to be more than a single vote every four years. Or should we be grateful for this, because as the media keep on informing us, "there are still too many dictatorships in a so called free world.

Democracy is a free "democratic global market". Or at least it seems to be more in touch with market forces than living beings.
